I watched AquaChigger still do. I met him once at Garrett hunt. I met Jocelyn Elizabeth there also. Al that being said I bought a Garrett AT Pro. That is the detector I have used for all these years and have been happy with it. I have used it on the beach. Salt water and dry sand and have found a lot of good targets. It’s not up with the new machines but I have been happy with it. Well I will leave it at that. More words than I’ve spoken in fifty years 27:54

I am not sure what beach you went to but you really need to go to a beach with the biggest parking lot you can find! Or resorts and hotels. You are pissing I to the wind with those condos behind you! You know it’s all about population density! And why wouldn’t you use the D2 in the water it is 20 times more capable than machine you are struggling with! Buy a pair of bone conductors and start water hunting properly!

I'm hoping to take my new legend for the first time this weekend and this video is interesting as this will be my first real detector and I may have a little advantage as I live in Wales UK and apparently the temperature of the water effects the salinity and so therefore effect's conductivity, I can't wait

Detecting is the goal. Finding is just gravy!

I’m happy to see you go to a real beach that really kinda gives people like myself to go to the beach more of a realistic view of what people find at the beach . I really like that extra elite I wish I had waited a little bit before I bought my vanquish . I would definitely got the elite instead already have the Pro but elite is Best of both the vanquish and the pro in one. Anyway great video thanks for sharing .

I tried out the deus one on a fresh water beach, i had a horrible time, especially in the wet sound incouldnt get it ground balanced and it kept screaming on black sand, i should have borrowed my moms vanquish instead, as my legend is in the shop for a blown speaker

Congratz on your find! Have to say funny thing. I found mine first gold chain with pendant at the same day as you did ! Just a bit thinner with smaller pendat(s). One was silver and thats why i probably got it. Been very lucky.

Great hunt and congrats on the gold! I just picked up the elite a week ago and it's a fantastic machine on the beach and in the parks. Much much better and very stable vdi compared to the pro.

Hey Austin. Awesome finds. It's a great feeling when you know your finds have paid for the detector...and on the first outing! By the way, from what I can tell on Minelab's website, the X-Terra Pro coils are compatible with the Elite. So your v8x should work on the Elite also. My Elite hasn't arrived yet, so haven't confirmed myself.

My newly acquired APEX is a Coin-hunting Beast so far. The only issue I have with it is the Micro USB port for charging. I know that the constant use of that port will lead to connection failure down the road. I hope Garrett incorporates a better charging connector for its detectors in the future. I personally like the one used on the Minelabs.
